Kumar Raju Mudunuri (Mudunuri Surya Soma Kumar Raju) is an Indian director working in the South Indian Film Industry. Before starting his career as a director, he has worked as a Cultural and Communications Co coordinator in a voluntary organization, and worked as Programming Head for MAA CABLE the sister concern of MAA TV.

THE EARLY YEARS : Kumar Raju Mudunuri was born on 25th Of January to Mr. M.D.Prasada Raju & Mrs. Sarojini Devi in a Beautiful town of West Godavari PALAKOL.. He belongs to the Kshatriya community of West Godavari. .

EDUCATION : Kumar Raju Mudunuri was studied in several schools for primary education because of his Father’s frequent official transfers. Latter he went to Visakhapatnam Andhra University and pursued post graduation. He had his Bachelor of Education training done in Annamalai University of Tamilnadu. Movies & Acting were hidden passion from childhood. But most of his time diverted towards his studies. He had very less time during his study period to work on his passion which is movies and direction.

CINEMA CAREER : As they say, passion cannot be hidden within oneself for a long time; It has to flow out sometime soon. For Kumar Raju Mudunuri the turning point happened when one of his friends who was associated with some production house, suggested his to do an Ad film. His friend introduced him to an Industrialist in Hyderabad. That was how the first Ad film shoots by Kumar Raju Mudunuri’s Life. From then, for Kumar Raju Mudunuri it was never looking back. This is how he climbed the first ladder of his success. The very next week after the Ad shoot he got a call from a producer to make a serial on true stories. This is how the journey towards the TV media and cinematic industry started. Followed by this he got another opportunity, this time it was for a prestigious serial which telecasted in "Viss TV. In the process he did couple of albums for a social cause in Telugu & Hindi. It did not stop there for Kumar Raju Mudunuri; he had a keen desire to work for the big silver screen that made him to settle in Hyderabad. With few days struggle, through a producer he got opportunity to do an art film for the sake of National awards. Kumar Raju Mudunuri made his movie debut in Mitravinda Production's Telugu Film SANDRAM. With the blessings and grace of almighty God, Kumar Raju Mudunuri bagged some of the awards for his projects. Present there are some movies also in his hands for which the shooting is taking place at its own speed & financial availability.
